The Enecogen power plant is a 50/50 joint venture between the Eneco and EP NL.
Our gas-fired power plant forms part of the ambition of both companies to supply clean and reliable energy. Enecogen is one of the cleanest and most efficient gas-fired power plants in Europe, because of its low CO2 emissions, high efficiency (59%) and low NOx emissions.

BLACKSTART
of a black-out … when everything stops ..
Light … heating … communication and infrastructure.
When the whole country is cut off from electricity and plunged into darkness,
that’s when Enecogen’s Blackstart kicks in.
Our Blackstart unit is a start-up motor for other plants.
Because it takes power to produce power.
The Blackstart power-restoration facility, which consists of an emergency power supply, gas turbine and generator, drives the Enecogen power plant much like a starter motor. This makes it possible to gradually restore other power supplies too – power plants, solar farms and wind turbines.
